Private vs Shared AI Access: Invitations & Keys
Access type describes how an offer is supplied. Private refers to separately supplied access, Shared involves access used by others, Invitation joins a workspace or team, and License Key provides an activation code. Confirm the exact account and permission conditions for every order.
Private: establish account control
The Private label does not by itself tell you whether the offer uses your existing account or a separately supplied one. Ask who can reset credentials, which devices are allowed and what happens when the paid period ends.
Shared: understand who else has access
Ask which parts of the account or profile are shared and who can see activity or files. A shared plan is not equivalent to a personal account you control. Avoid entering sensitive project information until you understand the arrangement.
Invitation: check the workspace
Confirm the organization or team you are joining, eligibility, administrator permissions and export options. Ask what happens to files and access if the invitation is removed or the subscription ends. A workspace invitation does not establish vendor affiliation.
License Key: confirm activation terms
Ask for the edition, license channel, permitted device count and transfer conditions. Check compatibility before ordering. A duration such as Lifetime and a replacement warranty such as 7 Days describe different things.

Is Private always the right choice?
The label alone is not enough. Choose based on confirmed account ownership, permitted usage and privacy conditions, alongside the task and budget.
